Through prayer, finances, and material support, Grace Community Baptist Church contributes to Christ's mandate to make disciples everywhere.
Two of our missionaries, Steve and Jen Hagen, are working with a tribe called the Bugkalot people, in a mountainous area on an island in the Philippines.
Years ago, the Bugkalots were headhunters. They used to kill members of other tribes and take the heads home as trophies. Then missionaries took the gospel to them. Now more than a fourth of the Bugkalots are Christian.
Tragically, one of the areas of ministry was pounded by a massive typhoon.

After the typhoon, they gathered for worship one Sunday afternoon in the rubble of their homes. Steve said it was an incredibly sweet time of worship together. Please pray for this family and so many others as they rebuild their homes and their lives.
The native style house were literally blown away. Sturdy homes and buildings (like the training center) sustained significant damage, but our tribal friends fared the worst. Many took refuge in the training center during the storm. But they didn't have homes to go back to afterwards.
Grace Community Baptist members felt the needs of our Bugkalot brothers and sisters. God moved to make money available to build a new typhoon-proof community / worship / service center for the community.
A2Missions (Alicia and Andrea Mays) is an international mission working in Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, and adjoining areas, led by Alicia and Andrea Mays. A2Missions works with existing churches, helping to strengthen and encourage them.
We have joined with local churches in our community Food Pantry, "Faith in Action." This outreach ministers to 30+ families each month.
We have Community events such as "Back to School Bash" distributing school supplies and backpacks.
